We started Smiley’s with a vision to be Perth’s one-stop shop for all outdoor improvement services. As a small, family focussed business, we embraced all the challenges that came our way. We put an emphasis on every project we take to merge our passion with client satisfaction and pride our business on finding innovative solutions. 


As we’ve grown and learned our lessons, we’ve expanded our expertise to larger, commercial projects such as hotels or mining, but always with our signature family focussed Smiley’s charm.

OUR JOURNEY

At Smiley's Outdoors, we are a small, family-owned wholesaler based in Ellenbrook, Perth, with a rapidly expanding footprint across the region. Our story began with our director working as a paver for builders in Geraldton, laying the groundwork for what would become a thriving business. With just a wheelbarrow and shovel, he took on small jobs and built his skills over several years.


In 2012, while working FIFO in Perth, our director continued his passion for paving and artificial grass installations during his RnR. Artificial grass was a new concept in Perth, so he offered to work for free with established installers to learn the trade. This dedication and hard work paid off as the business began to grow, and what started as a small Endeavor in Ellenbrook quickly expanded across the state.


Over time, we faced challenges with unreliable wholesalers who failed to Honor warranties, inconsistent products, and price gouging. These experiences motivated us to take control of our destiny by designing and creating our own products. By doing so, we ensured the quality and reliability of our installations and protected our reputation within the community.

We understand the grind of working seven days a week and the struggle of dealing with suppliers who don't always understand or care about our needs. Through extensive market research, collaboration with installers, and navigating economic ups and downs, we’ve become a strong competitor, filling crucial gaps in the industry.


Our commitment to both retail and trade clients is unwavering. We are dedicated to delivering the products and support needed for our clients to succeed because we believe that when our clients thrive, we thrive.


The name "Smiley's" comes from a nickname our director earned for his ever-present smile at every mine site or job site he visited. We bring that same positive energy and genuine commitment to our customers. Now, with a family of little “smileys” growing up in the Swan region, he is committed to being an integral part of the community and supporting fellow community members.
